Abstract (EN)
The thesis is issued on the House of Murat Koca, which is one of theexamples of the traditional houses, in Sinop. By analysing the existingconditions and restoration possibilities, the aim of the study is to search forthe proper functions for the conservation of the building and transferring itto the future generations. In the scope of the thesis, Kefevi District and thevicinity of the house, is diachronically analysed and the original state isinvestigated by a comparative study. The results of the analysis has beenevaluated, and some criteria determined; which coincides a restorationproject that combines the mentioned criteria along with the new functionsintroduced during the application phase.Key Words : Murat, Koca, Mansion, Sinop, Restoration
