Abstract (EN)

Purpose: The aim of this study is to obtain detailed information about the structures in the region by performing descriptive and correlation analyzes of the internal carotid artery, adjacent structures and cephalometric measurements in the sinus cavernosus, and to contribute to minimizing the complications that may occur in skull base surgeries with this information. Material and Method: This study is a retrospective study involving 86 individuals who had CT scans at İnönü University, Department of Radiology between 2010 and 2021. Results: According to the analyzes performed, between right ACI length and left ACI length (r=0.824), between right ACI - ST and Left ACI-ST (r=0.631), Right PCM - PCP and Left PCM-PCP (r=0.722), A strong positive correlation was found between pituitary volume and H-D (r=0.749). In addition, moderate and weak correlations were obtained in many of our measurements. Conclusion: With these obtained correlation data, a more detailed understanding of the anatomy of the region and the relationship between the structures will be provided.
