Abstract (EN)
Recently, mergers have been the common practices of many corporations in the 2000s as the phenomenon of globalisation become more evident. Due to the effects of globalisation, economic crisis and need for growth, many corporations prefer to merge with others. The aim of this study is to investigate generally neglected human resource dimension of mergers. The most important reason of the failure of mergers is not putting enough emphasis over human resources. During the application of merger problems such as cultural conflicts, uncertainties and reactions to change occur. The most important role in solving these problems must be undertaken by the human resource department. The chance of success of the mergers in which human resource department plays an active role is larger. Keyword: Merger, Human Resources, Employment, Joint Ventures
