Developing a solution proposal against brute force attacks on system login procedures

The rapid development of information technologies has led to an extraordinary increase in the number of devices included in the network environment. This increase in the number of devices included in network systems and the spread of devices over wide geographies has increased the importance of remote management instead of physical management of devices and remote access to the services that serve on devices. For this reason, it has led to the increased use of login panels to access the services with remote authentication methods. The fact that these management panels are open to Brute Force attacks in mandatory situations, especially if they are left open to unauthorized access, has brought cyber security problems. In this study, a solution is proposed against Brute Force attacks that occur on the network during the communication of devices connected to computer networks with each other. In the study, network packets were analyzed after Brute Force attacks on several widely used applications, and it is understood that it is sometimes impossible to obtain accurate data for the detection of this type of attack in network packets. It was understood that the most accurate data in detecting this attack is to detect it from the log records created by the relevant application on the server side, and an integrated application was made to prevent the attack. It is thought that the analysis results obtained will be a resource for network experts, system administrators and researchers.
