Extensive studies have been conducted on ?Design For Assembly? in recent years. In those studies, different methods have been developed to determine, prevent or reduce the assembly-related problems. Actually, these methods try to consider part geometry and dimensional problems in terms of assembly and reduce them. Depending on the complexity level of the system, the assembly order and design of the parts may be done in different ways. Selecting the most suitable one from among these ones is the subject of the planning of the assembly order or the design for assembly. This study presents an approach to the design for easy assembly. The suggested approach forms the design for easy assembly by determining the valid assembly plans and selecting the parts corresponding to all of the assembly systems. The aim of this study is to form easy assembly by using design features in order that the parts designed with the systematic approach have simple geometry. Several studies were carried out so as to reduce the number of parts and the costs. In addition, the easy assembly, design efficiency and costs analyses were shown with different application studies.
