Pio Baroja'nın La Dama Errante ve La Ciudad de la Niebla isimli romanlarında kadının durumu

This study aims to analyze the social, economic, political and religious aspects of women characters in the novels La dama errante and La ciudad de la niebla, written by Pío Baroja. The content of this analysis is the struggle for independence by Maria, who is the female protagonist of the novels, associated with Pio Baroja' s autobiographical features such as pessimism, misogyny, anarchism, individuality and realism. In this study, the social position, the missions and the roles of women in Spain and England will be tried to be revealed. The texts to be analyzed in this study will be associated with the social, political, cultural and economic situations of the period and will determine the place and responsibilities of different types of women in the changing modern society.
