Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the opportunities and difficulties encountered in the field by aquaculture enterprises in Sivas Province and to present solution proposals that will ensure the development of the aquaculture sector according to the information to be obtained. There are a total of 32 enterprises licensed to produce aquaculture in the Sivas region. A survey was conducted by visiting all enterprises engaged in aquaculture in net cages and all land-based enterprises with actual capacities over 10 tons/year, and data was collected to reveal the current status and problems of the enterprises. The total project capacities of these enterprises were determined as 5 637.5 tons/year and the total juvenile production project capacities of 24 261 190 units. The theoretical capacity in the enterprises studied was found to be 4644 tons/year in net cages, 162.5 tons/year in land-based pools and 26 642 000 juveniles. The feed conversion ratio was calculated as 0.97 in net cages (FCR) and 1.075 in land-based pools (FCR). It was determined that the stock density was normal. As a result of the evaluation of the data obtained in the study, it was determined that the aquaculture enterprises in Sivas should be directed to production based on scientific data in the production stages.
