Abstract (EN)
Mental well-being encompasses an individual's satisfaction with life, the presence of psychological factors enhancing life motivation, and the happiness levels achieved in personal, family, social, and work life. In the realm of professional life, the elevated levels of mental well-being among employees contribute to heightened job satisfaction, enabling organizations to focus more effectively on their objectives and goals, increasing organizational commitment, and decreasing intentions of employee turnover. One of the influential factors affecting the mental well-being of employees is their level of mindfulness. Based on this premise, this thesis investigates the potential effects of mindfulness on mental well-being. In this context, the study aims to guide managers, human resources specialists, and stakeholders in the civil aviation industry in managing and developing strategies for these crucial psychological factors. To achieve this objective, a survey was conducted with 384 participants employed in civil aviation organizations, and the obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 quantitative analysis program. The analysis revealed significant differences in mindfulness and mental well-being scales concerning age, educational status, title, and years of service. However, marital status did not show a statistically significant difference in terms of mindfulness and mental well-being scales. Additionally, income level did not exhibit a significant difference in the mindfulness scale but was found to be statistically significant in the mental well-being scale. The analysis results also indicate a positive and moderately significant relationship between mindfulness and mental well-being, highlighting the positive and moderate impact of mindfulness on mental well-being. This thesis, conducted in the aviation sector, is believed to lay a foundation for enhancing the psychological well-being of professionals in the industry, contributing to the emotional health of team members, workforce productivity, and operational efficiency.
