Abstract (EN)
In today's world, women entrepreneurs come to the fore with their successful practices. However, the capital levels and capacities of women entrepreneurs differ compared to men. One of the important reasons for this difference is the gender roles created on femininity due to the gender they have. These roles create disadvantageous positions for women entrepreneurs compared to men in the process of reaching capital. Social capital capacities, which is one of the types of capital that women entrepreneurs have, are also negatively affected by gender roles. Women can access social capital resources, which men can access much more easily, as a result of great efforts. Non-governmental organizations appear as important actors in the journey of women entrepreneurs to access these resources. It has been stated in the research of many countries that the activities of non-governmental organizations have made positive contributions to the development of social capital capacities of women entrepreneurs. Among the reasons for studying this effect outside of Turkey is the fact that non-governmental organizations are still very new in the context of Turkey. For this reason, the research investigates how non-governmental organizations affect the social capital of women entrepreneurs in Turkey in the light of previous country examples. Within the scope of the research, an online questionnaire was prepared in the light of the tools used in the measurement of social capital and it was delivered to women entrepreneurs operating in many parts of Turkey. In line with the evaluated data, it has been determined that non-governmental organizations have positive effects on the social capital resources of women entrepreneurs.
