Abstract (EN)
Sivrihisar district is located 85 kms. to the west of Eskişehir,135 kms. to Ankara to the east and 123 kms. to Afyon to the South,Sivrihisar district is home to many civilizations,including Hitites,Frigs,Rome,Byzantium,Sejuks,Ottomens nd Rebublic of Turkey. During the Bayezid and Kanuni periods,the provincial governorate was bound to Bursa sanjak until the 17th century,to the Ankara province with the establishmet of the Ottoman provincial organization in 1848,to the sanjak of Eskişehir in 1914,and finally to the province of Eskişehir after republic was declared. Sivrihisar has lost its political and social features since the last period of the Ottomans and is located in a very close location to Ankara and has not devoloped much in spite of being at the intersection of Ankara-Eskişehir-Afyon highways. Within the scape of this study,it is aimed to evaluate the restoration of Turkish architectural building elements after 1988 and how much the buildigs are protected as a result of physical interventions and on what level the futuıre generations are reflected and damages and additions on the constructions are determined by examining the immediate surroundigs and present conditions of the buildigs.This thesis study was prepared in an comperative study with pysical and functional interventions. In addition to these studiaes ,it is seen that the type,plan,sacepe arrangements and decoration features of mosque,tomb,bath,fountain and civil architectural elements are examined and informations about repairs made before 1988 are given.
