Poitical moral and ideology: A review on Ali shariati

Politics, morality and ideology are three inseparable concepts. The triangle including these three concepts has been constantly discussed since the first man. Especially adaptation of Western-type ideologies by Eastern societies in the modern era changed the inner angles of these three concepts for Eastern societies. In this context, ideology has become the determining factor of political morality. Ali Shariati, who was also raised in an Eastern society, severely criticizes this situation. The criticism of Shariati on ideology is based on the concept of "donkey". In this respect, Shariati stated that modern ideologies keep Eastern societies away from their essence, in other words, they keep them away from consciousness. Shariati proposes the equation of politics, morality and unity, versus politics, morality and ideology equation. The life, general philosophy and studies of Shariati were examined in the first part of the study. The opinions of Shariati on individuals, society and the state as the founding elements of politics were discussed in the second part of the study. The criticisms of Shariati against ideology were scrutinized in the axis of "eşekleştirme" metaphor in the third and last part of the study.
