Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the reflections of the electoral systems applied in the general parlamentary elections between 2000 and 2020 on the political culture of Turkey. For this purpose, it is questioned that how the electoral system and communication in Turkey affected the political culture of Turkey, in this period representing the begining of the 21th century. Within the context of the study, the concept of political culture is investigated in the perspective of theoretical approaches, political behavior and political culture elements in Turkey and the electoral systems are evaluated in terms of their application forms, functions and electoral communications. In the methodological part of the thesis, the electoral systems applied in the general parliamentary elections in Turkey between 2000 and 2020 and electoral communications are investigated, in order to reveal the reflections of the electoral communications on political culture. For the purpose of the research, two different scientific research methods were used. Selection systems were analyzed with statistical descriptive method; while offical propaganda speeches within the cpncept of electoral communications on political culture. As a result, the electoral system and communication between 2000 and 2020 are revealed to have various effects of Turkey's political culture, in terms of political stability, fairness in representation, party and voter behaviors. This period, which is the begining of the 21th century, contains the process which also includes the start of transformation in terms of Turkey's political culture.
