Reflections of political and social events in the novels of Oya Baydar

Political developments over the life of the individual and society have been long known to have significant impacts topic. At that work aimed at showing the reflection of the political and social events took place in also Turkey's recent time in the literary works, novels Oya Baydar wrote, has been used as the research object,. Oya Baydar; is a writer of sociologist and researcher who make the subject of Turkey's recent experience the political and social events in her novels. At this study discourse analysis technique that is one of the qualitative research methods has been benefited from. As a result of the analysis of discourse in the novel based on this technique; common discourses have been set departing from Oya Baydar's repeated and emphatic discourse and these which are directly related with Turkey's recent history have been interpreted determining the conceptual framework. In the interpretation of discourse, the striking areas of the political developments affecting the life of the individual and society has been emphasised. However, departing from the interpretation of these discourses, strong ties of literature and writers with social and political life in each era have been tried to show.
