Researching the approach of political parties to sports and youth programs in election statements

Political parties are an important element in all countries governed by democracy. The aim of this study; It is the comparison of the sports-oriented goals of the five political parties that have established the group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the election manifestos of the ruling and opposition parties. In this context, the parties' election declarations for sports were examined and similarities and differences were determined. Content and case study method was preferred in the study. Election declarations of five political parties that can form groups in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey among all political parties operating in Turkey are included in the study. Content analysis method was preferred in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the analysis of the data, it has been determined that the common cultural elements of Turkish culture such as "Turk, Turkish Nation", which reflect unity and solidarity, are included in the election manifestos of political parties in different ways. The issues emphasized in the election declarations of the political parties included in the study can be listed as social citizenship, initiative taking skills, communication, media skills, and financial literacy. Considering the characteristics that individuals should have, it is seen that political parties differ from each other. These features are emphasized in the form of social and societal values. The party that draws the most attention to values is the AK Party, while the least noticeable political group is HDP. MHP is the party that states that there should be diversity among the value sources and gives the most place to diversity. As a result of the study, the election declarations published by the political parties were evaluated holistically in the context of values, attitudes and sources of values. The most basic purpose of political parties, which is evident during the establishment phase, is to gain political power by gaining the majority of votes. Many political parties prepare election manifestos in which they express their promises and suggestions that the public can understand in order to express themselves. The aim of this study is to reveal which aspects of the "sports" issue in the election declarations of the political parties that took part in the June 24, 2018 general elections (President Elections and 27th Term Deputy General Elections). Descriptive analysis and content analysis methods were used to obtain the data. The reason for choosing this analysis method is to provide systematic and unbiased results. As a result of the content analyzes made on the 24 June 2018 election manifestos, it was determined that the Justice and Development Party 97, the Republican People's Party 38, the Good Party 35, the Peoples' Democratic Party 19, the Vatan Party 17 and the Nationalist Movement Party 1 times.
