Abstract (EN)
The Prophet Muhammad influenced all eras with the principles he preached. His exemplary behavior in every aspect of life serves as a guiding model for Muslims. Consequently, his life was studied immediately after his death and passed down to subsequent generations. In Türkiye, there are also courses designed to teach the life of the Prophet. The primary goal of these courses is to enable students to learn about the Prophet's life and embrace him as a role model. This study explores the use of student-centered methods, particularly drama, in an educational context. These methods are considered effective because they emphasize student participation, structured planning, and the potential to develop cognitive, effective, and psychomotor skills. The researcher employed the creative drama method within the scope of the study. A qualitative research approach based on phenomenological design was adopted to conduct an in-depth analysis of students' experiences. The data were analyzed using MaxQDA Analytics PRO 2024 software. During the data analysis process, initial categories were determined based on the semi-structured interview form. Meaningful codes were generated from the interview data and organized into appropriate categories. Findings indicate that lessons taught using the drama method are more enjoyable and memorable. Furthermore, the drama-based approach has been shown to contribute to the development of skills such as communication and active participation in class. The use of this method in Sirah education has provided students with a more effective and enjoyable learning experience and led to the development of positive attitudes towards the Sirah course.
