Özet (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the pain and anxiety associated with intraosseous anesthesia performed with SleeperOne®, a computer-assisted local anesthesia system, with traditional local anesthesia techniques. Materials and Methods: The study included 32 patients aged between 8 and 12 years with occlusal caries at the dentin 1/2 level of the first permanent molars. Prior to the procedures, the patients' anxiety levels were measured using CFSS-DS. Heart rate and FIS values based on physician observation were measured before and after local anesthesia applications, and VAS values were measured to determine individual pain experiences after anesthesia. Vitality and anesthesia effectiveness were assessed using EPT. Results: After intraosseous anesthesia with SleeperOne®, significantly lower VAS and FIS values were measured in both jaws compared to the traditional method. While there was no significant difference in post-anesthesia heart rate in the upper jaw, a lower heart rate was observed in the lower jaw compared to the traditional method. Conclusion: Intraosseous applications with SleeperOne® are effective and successful. It caused less pain and anxiety in children compared to traditional methods. To reach definitive conclusions, further studies with larger sample groups are needed. Keywords: Dental Anxiety, Intraosseous Anesthesia, Pain, SleeperOne
