Researching relationship between text anxiety parent attitude and perfectionism

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the students' perfectionism features of the high school (Anatolian, Science and General high schools), parents attitudes and the students' genders together predict the test anxiety or not. In addition to this; in this research, it is aimed to examine whether the high school students' test anxiety scores change according to the type of high school, perceived academic success and perceived socio-economic level or not. The Study group consists of 244 female and 344 male; in total 588 high school students attanding first, second and third grade high school students in Tokat Science High school, Tokat Anatolian High school and Gazi Osman Paşa High school which are located in the center of Tokat. In order to gather data in this research, Test Anxiety Inventory (Öner, 1990) ,Parents Attitude Scale (Kuzgun ve Eldeleklioğlu, 1993; 2005) and Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale which is adapted to Turkish by Özbay ve Taşdemir were used. Research data was analyzed by using multi-linear regresion and One way-ANOVA procedures.At the end of the variance analysis, in the situations when F factor was found meaningful, to find the source of the variance Scheffe Test was used.
