The identification of the ecologicalcitizenship levels of the classroom teacher candidates

The aim of this research is to demonstrate the influence of various variables that are thought to be influential on ecological citizenship levels of the classroom teacher candidates. The research was carried out on the 732 teacher candidates who are studying classroom teaching at three different university at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades by applying the general model. In order to find out the levels of ecological citizenship that the classroom teacher canditates have personal information questionnaire and an ecological citizenship scale that has 4 dimension have been used. The important 19 different factors on the ecological levels of classroom teacher candidates have been searched acording to four different sub-dimensions SPSS 22 statics programme has been used analyze the findings. Descriptive statics, t-test for unrelated samples one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and simple correlation have been used analyzing the findings. According to the finding of the research the ecological citizenship levels of the classroom teacher canditates is at a medium-level and it is low in terms of particapation, in terms of responsibility and fair and justice it is at medium level when the total points are studied and it is low in terms of participation, in terms of responsibility and fair and justice it is at medium level. This result shows that the ecological citizenship level of the class teacher candidates is not enough to educate the ecological citizens when they are teachers. It has also been found that results of the research are influenced by various variables on ecological citizenship levels of classroom teacher candidates.
