The courses offered in the elementary school are the lessons that the students gain the basis of skills they can use throughout their lives. Students gain social life through the lessons they take in elementary school.Museums are one of the institutions providing learning opportunities in social environment. Students are required to see the museum to be informed about the museum. Students should be able to understand the concept of museum and adopt the museum. For this reason,the self-confidence of the teachers who are one of the most important elements of teaching process, is important.Teachers' self-efficacy beliefs about the museum is important. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the teacher candidates have self-efficacy beliefs about the museum course and whether the self-efficacy beliefs vary according to the gender, class level and course education.In the study, quantitative approach based scanning method was used. The study was carried out with a total of 65 female and 35 male candidate primary school teachers who were studying in Bartin University Faculty of Education. Purposive sampling method was used in the selection of candidate teachers. The study was conducted in the spring term of the 2020-2021 academic year. As a data collection tool, self- efficacy belief scale that studied with personal data form developed by Yeşilbursa and Uslu (2014), which has been validated for reliability and validity was used.Required permissions were taken.Mann Whitney U Test, Anowa Test and Kruskal Wallis Test were used for data analysis. The data obtained from the program are classified according to the determined range of points.At the end of the study, the average total score of self-efficacy beliefs of candidate teachers was determined to be 88.18. In this case, the teacher candidates' self-efficacy beliefs about museum education are high. Self-efficacy beliefs of primary school teachers do not differ significantly according to gender variable. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the self-efficacy beliefs of candidate teachers differed significantly according to the grade level.In this case, Mann-Whitney U test was used to understand the meaningful differences between the classes and there was a difference between the 1st and 4th grades groups. Similarly, the self-efficacy beliefs of the candidate teachers about the education of the teachers show a significant difference according to the variables of whether the candidate teachers take courses on museum education before.
