Investigation of anxiety levels related to out-of-school communication of primary teacher candidates

The value and importance of out-of-school education is increasing rapidly today. The education that continues in the school and garden is enriched with out-of-school environments and contributes to the formation of concrete and permanent learning in students. Real life continues outside the classroom, especially in the primary school age, when learn the most basic knowledge and skills. For this reason, it is very important to benefit from out-ofschool learning environments. The aim of this study is to examine the anxiety levels of primary school teacher candidates about out-of-school learning in terms of various variables. The research was carried out using a general survey model from quantitative research methods. The research was carried out in the 2020-2021 academic year with students from Anadolu, Erciyes, Gazi and Sakarya University Department of Primary School Teaching. In the research, the "Out-of-School Learning Anxiety Scale" developed by Üner (2019) and the personal information form prepared by the researcher were used to collect the data. The scale consist of wto parts: personal information and questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 22 package program. In order to determine whether there is a significant difference in the anxiety levels of the primary school teacher candidates in terms of various variables, analysis was performed with t-Test, Variance. While there were significant differences in anxiety levels based on gender, academic average (gano) and course taking status, there was no significant difference in some variables such as class level, type of high school graduated, university.
