Abstract (EN)

In addition to traditional environmental education, new approaches have been discussed in recent years. New learning theories are developed and implemented in order to increase the level of knowledge about the environment and to improve the behavior and attitudes towards the environment in a positive way. In order to improve environmental behaviors and attitudes, determining and interpreting the current situation is essential. In this study, environmental attitude and environmental sensitive behavior scales were applied to 100 classroom teachers, who are working in all schools / institutions and all branches operating in the city center, in the 2019-2020 academic year. In this study, the environmental sensitivity behaviors and environmental attitudes of the teachers were measured and differences were determined according to year of seniority, branch, age and gender. When the obtained results were evaluated, it was determined that all teachers participating in the study had a high degree of environmental attitude and environmentally sensitive behavior. It is determined that environmental attitude does not depend on demographic characteristics and environmental sensitive behavior varies according to branch, age and seniority year.
