The relationship among the organizational dissent,organizational policies and political behaviour perceptions of classroom teachers

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to expose the classroom teachers' perceptions about organizational dissent, organizational policies and political behavior, working in Bolu and in other provinces Bolu. For this purpose the perception of organizational dissent, organizational politics and political behavior were determined, the demographic information of the teachers are established whether they have an effect on these perceptions, the relationship between organizational politics and political behavior were examined.The classroom teachers, who work in Bolu province and in the other provinces in the public primary schools of Ministry of Education in 2013-2014 academic year, were the center of this research studied with relationally browsing modal? The number of the teachers were 652 in 2013-2014 academic year (Directorate of National Education of Bolu). Accordingly this study was conducted with the entire population, sampling was not used. However 261 answered the teachers. The data obtained in the study was processed in 'IBM SPSS Statistic 20' packet programme and the data related with the study were analyzed. During the analysis Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis, Spearman Rho, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis were used. When the organizational dissent perceptions of the teachers are examined the highest mean score was 'mostly' level at the subscale of 'personal reasons', the lowest mean score was 'rarely' at the subscale of 'send a message'. The average mean score of the total scale of the teachers, participated in the study, was at the 'occasionally' level. When perceptions of the organizational politics and political behavior of teachers were examined, the highest mean score was 'partly agree' on subscale of 'organization policies and practices', the lowest mean score was 'disagreed' on the subscale of 'self-interest'. The mean score of the scale score of the teachers participated in the study was at 'partially agree'. In this case the perception of organizational politics and political behavior of teachers participated in the study are on the level of 'partially agree'. The perception of organizational politics and political behavior were analyzed, according to the gender, age, years of service, union membership, education and locations of teachers they work revealed significant differences on the lower level of 'self-interest'.In addition a statistically meaningful in a positive direction and a medium level relationship was found between teachers' organizational dissent with organizational policies and perceptions of their political behavior.
