Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to examine the STEAM (science-technology-engineering-art-mathematics) attitudes of classroom teachers. The study was designed with survey research, one of the quantitative research methods. In the study group of the research, there are 253 classroom teachers working in public primary schools in the central district of Hatay province in the 2022-2023 academic year. In this study, "STEAM (science-technology-engineering-art-mathematics) Attitude Scale" was used as a data collection tool. Analysis of the research data was made using the SPSS 26.0 package program. In the analysis of the data, arithmetic mean, frequency, percentage, T-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used. According to the findings of the study, it was found that the STEAM attitudes of the classroom teachers were high. There was no significant difference in the STEAM attitudes of the teachers according to the gender variable. There was a significant difference in STEAM attitudes according to the variables of educational status, professional seniority, receiving STEAM education and applying STEAM education. It is thought that it is necessary to provide STEAM education to all classroom teachers on STEAM education, and it has been stated that it is necessary to organize informative seminars where STEAM-based applications are important.
