To determine the educational adaptations of class teachers for inclusive students with mental disabilities

The aim of this research is to determine the educational adaptations of which class teachers did in the class for the inclusive students with mental disabilities. Sampling of research is formed by 29 volunteer class teachers who work in the one the county. The data of research is collected by qualitative data collection methods; semi-structured interview and by observing combining classes. As we look at the results of research; it is identified that all the class teachers didn?t attend any educational programmes related with special education. When the teachers of only ten respond positively about the application of inclusive, the rest 19 teachers respond negatively about the application of inclusive. All the teachers pointed out that they didn?t collect detailed information about her/him before they arrange her/him a place. It is determined that 19 teachers are in a negative thoughts about inclusive students,13 teachers don?t give any information about the features of inclusive students to the others students before they arrange their place. When 17 of the inclusive class teachers stated that they didn?t do any adaptation for special students, the rest 12 teachers pointed out that they did a few changes during lesson. They stated that none of them determined additional education aims for special students they only gave place to some simple subjects in the lessons.All the teachers pointed out that they gave place to functional life skills for special requirement individuals apart from academic subjects. Inclusive class teachers of 28 stated that they didn?t take any financial support and 21 teachers of them pointed out that they didn?t take advantage of support services.
