Examining the belonging of the students studying at class teaching department and instructors' realizing their professional competence and the level of prediction of academic motivation

Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to reveal whether the students who are educated in classroom teaching being reference and perceiving teaching staff Professional competence and academic motivation in a meaningful way or not. This research is a descriptive study that has the relational screening model which aims at detecting the specifications in academic motivation level of the students at classroom teaching and determining the interactions with each other. The population of the study consisted of the students of Çukurova University Faculty of Education, Department of Primary School Teaching, in the educational year 2015-2016. In this research, sample was not selected, but tried to reach all of the population. The data were collected by adaptation into Turkish and which validity and reliability tests were performed by Karagüven (2012) academic motivation scale (AMÖ-Ü 28) University Form, Ersanlı and Koçyiğit (2013) which was beleonging reference scale and teaching staff's Professional competence inventory developed by Şahin (2003) and personal information form prepared by researcher. The data obtained were analysed using the SPSS 21.0 programme. Depented variable "Academic Motivation" and Indepented variable "Reference" in the research examined by using the methods of "Professional Competence of Teaching Staff" and relationships between demographic variables, t-test, one-way variance analysis, correlation and multiple regration analysis method. When the findings evaluated according to gender, in the reference variable, in "reference to family" and "reference to profession" subdimensions, female students, reference levels were higher than male students. In the Academic Motivation variable, in the subdimension about "amotivational" male students has lower motivation than female students. In the variable of Teaching Staff's Professional competence, in the subdimension of "Principles and methods of teaching" female students perceive in a higher level according to male students on competence of Teaching Staff. According to the class level variable "in the reference to profession subdimension" 4th grade students reference level was higher than other grade students. In the academic motivation variable, in "Extrinsic Motivation Regulation" subdimension, a meaningful result output favor to 1st grade students, In "Professional Competence of Teaching Staff", in subdimension of "Pragram and Content", "Classroom Management", "Teaching Process Activities" and "Principles and methods of Teaching", 1st grade students teaching staff qualifications has higher level than other grade students. As a result of regration analyses, in " Academic Motivation" variable subdimension the most important quilts, were determined as in "Instric Motivation" reference to profession and program and content; in "Instrinsic Motivation Movement" reference to profession and priciples and methods at teaching; in and reference to family in program and content; in "Extrinsic Motivation Self-proof" and "Extrinsic Motivation Regulation" program and content, in "amotivational" situation reference to profession, reference to crowd. As aresult of the multiple regression analysis that were made, "reference to profession" subdimension is the most important variable in Classroom Teaching Students academic motivation. Therefore, students in this department should love their profession and according to enhancing their professional loyalty, space to events gain importance. Furthermore, according to the results, male students' reference level is lower than female students. This is pointing to lasting of perceptions since the past on "Classroom teaching is a female profession". It should be prioritized the studies intended fort he development of perceptions about male students can be succeed in this field. 4th grade students detect more inadequate than 1st grade students. That's because, in the last class due to preparations to KPSS ( Public Personnel Selection Exam) they can have anticipations on the lessons according to the exam system. It can be useful that these expectations are determined and modification in course content.
