Abstract (EN)
Farming, which is critical to the continuation of the human race, is one of the oldest professions in the world. In the life of mankind who survive in the first age with available foods to meet their nutritional needs in nature experienced fundamental changes because of the discovery of agriculture. Together with the transition to settled life, life comfort and dependence on the soil of people increased. Since the agriculture sector which acts as a bridge between the development and improvement of countries was the primary sector, has an important condition in the economic life of all countries regardless of their development level. The agricultural sector, which has a strategic priority, has an important place in the economic, commercial, political and international relations of the countries. The increasing of the world population, increase in food demand, climate changes, decrease in arable lands, changing in consumption habits, using of agricultural lands for non-agricultural purposes, geopolitical risks and pressures on soil and water resources have just threatened food security. In 2008, the global food crisis caused by drought made it necessary to revise national agricultural policies for many countries and provide food security as a vital part of national policy. Countries have sought to find new farmland to produce. Within this framework, demand for purchase or long-term leasing of agricultural land outside of own country has started to increase. The increasing of the acceleration of foreign agriculture investments after the crisis should evaluate as a crucial step to transform the crisis into opportunity.
