Abstract (EN)
The WTO faces a change in the relationship between international institutions, member states and private actors. The question is whether and how the WTO should consult with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the role these entities should be based on the WTO as an arbiter of the world trading system. The resolution of this issue will affect the effectiveness of the WTO and legitimacy as a global institution.
