Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to demonstrate the polymorphism of the promoter region of SOCS gene in metastatic colorectal cancer patients. SOCS proteins are the significant controllers of the signal transduction pathway. The DNA samples obtained from 103 colorectal cancer patients and 76 healthy individuals were analyzed by primers suitable for SOCS3 gene, and SSCP analysis. 5 sets of primers designed for SOCS3 gene used. As a result, there were no relationship between SOCS3 gene promotor region and colorectal cancer development in colorectal cancer patients.
