Abstract (EN)
In the eco-system, forest resources are rapidly decreasing and it has become a necessity to protect the wood material at the highest level and to ensure its use in wider areas. In this century, new conservation materials form the basis of restorative ecology by changing the damaging factors and preserving the ecological structure of the evolutionary environment of the ecosystem with more natural conservation methods. Technological, upper surface, etc., so that the wood material can be used both in historical buildings and in a wide variety of areas. a wide variety of tests/analyses need to be done. For these reasons, four wood species Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), Eastern Spruce wood (Picea orientalis (L.) Link.), Chestnut wood (Castanea sativa Mill.), Oak wood (Quercus petraea Lieble) were preferred and natural aging All test specimens conditioned before the (24-month period) process were corrugated on the surface by etching at various pressures (1; 2 and 3 atu); %5; After performing the vacuum pressure method/impregnation process with sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) at %7 and %9 solution concentrations, water-based paint/varnish was applied. After the 24-month natural aging period of both control and test specimens placed on the test panel, surface treatment tests (color, gloss), mechanical properties such as bending strength, modulus of elasticity in bending, pressure resistance tests were carried out. According to the test results, there was no change in the pH and densities of the solutions before and after impregnation. After the application of the impregnation process, the % adhesion amount (the amount of solid matter remaining according to the total dry weight of the wood) in the wood material is %7 Sbc 3 atu (%32,46) in the spruce wood with the highest adhesion amount, %9 Sbc in the lowest oak wood (%5,22). While it takes place at 1 atu; In control samples, the highest Luminance (L*) value was in Scotch pine wood (47,32), the lowest in oak (39,84), in test samples the highest Luminance (L*) value in chestnut wood (44,34), the lowest in oak (39,84); Red-green color (a*) value was highest in scotch pine wood (10,37), lowest in chestnut wood (8,69), red-green color (a*) value in test samples was highest in chestnut wood (7,11), lowest value in test samples. in spruce wood (6,62); Yellow-blue color (b*) value is highest in scotch pine wood (22,15), lowest in oak wood (17,21), yellow-blue color (b*) value in test samples is highest in chestnut (14,28), lowest in oak wood. in wood (12,86); The highest total color change (∆E*) value after the natural aging period (0-12 Months Difference) was found in scotch pine wood (12,15), the lowest in oak wood (8,09); In the control group after the natural aging period, the highest gloss value was in spruce (18,98), the lowest in scotch pine (15,71); In the test samples after the natural aging period, the highest gloss value was observed in chestnut wood (8,32), the lowest in scots pine wood (5,94). In terms of mechanical properties, the highest pressure resistance value is 2 atu in oak wood (87,61 N/mm²), the lowest is 3 atu (31,17 N/mm²) in spruce wood; the highest modulus of elasticity in bending is 1 atu (12809 N/mm2) in oak wood, the lowest modulus of elasticity in bending is 3 atu (7893 N/mm²) in chestnut wood; The highest bending strength value was in oak (169,25 N/mm²) and the lowest in spruce (123,66 N/mm²). The anatomical structure of the wood has been effective on all parameters (abrasion, impregnation, surface, mechanical properties).
