Abstract (EN)
Low weight complex hydrides are highly remarkable materials as hydrogen storage medium. Hydrogen release rate from these materials is improved by various catalysts. In this study; in order to produce safe and controllable hydrogen, hydride composites were prepared. Sodium borohydride which is one of light weight complex hydrides was based as main material. Hydrogen storage properties of obtained composites were investigated by performing hydrolysis reactions. In order to improve the hydrolysis reactions, iron-boron (Fe-B) contained catalysts were synthesized by chemical reduction method and structural properties were characterized. Consequently, it was seen that NaBH4-based NaBH4-NH3BH3 composites can be used for safe and controllable hydrogen storage medium. Besides usage of Fe-B based catalysts is suggested for catalytic hydrolysis reaction of NaBH4, NH3BH3 ve NaBH4-NH3BH3 composites.
