Factors determining relations between Republic of China and Kazakhstan after Cold War

In this study, First , general features of Post-Cold War international system were evaluated . Second, factors determining relations between Republic Of China and Kazakhstan after Cold War were explained. In the following parts of the thesis, these factors analyzed inclusively From Kazakhstan side, there are three important factors in developing its relations with china First , Kazakhstan wants to keep its developmental stability by the help of China?s products, technology and investments. Second, by the help of relations with China, Kazakhstan wants to reduce its dependency towards Russia and diversify its economy. Last, Kazakhstan?s relations with china is related to balance policy which has implemented to Russia, China and USA against their domination in the region. We are able to summarize China?s priorities in advancing relations with Kazakhstan as , 1) open up the west through Kazakhstan 2) Kazakhstan?s position as an alternative resource and route in response to China?s increasing energy needs 3) Taking support of Kazakhstan against separatist movements in East Turkestan 4) Kazakhstan?s appropriate behavior towards China?s national interests in the competitive struggle of territorial and exterritorial powers in the region Consequently, relations between China and Kazakhstan has developed positively in political, economy and security areas since relations began.
