Turkey – İsrael relations after cold-war: A political economics analysis

Israel and Turkey, the location of two countries determines their geo-strategic and politics which makes these countries important in international relationship. The diplomatic and political relations between the two countries have continued since the establishment of the state of Israel. The bilateral relations, which were relatively weak in the pre-Cold War period, were rapidly developed and deepened with the increase in the rapprochement between the two countries in the 1990s. Consequently, commercial and economic relations have progressively increased due to political relations in the course of the Cold War.Turkey and Israel as political tensions are experiencing economic, commercial and have continued their military cooperation. Diplomatic and political crises have been experienced intensively, especially in the 2000s, since the relations between the two countries are politically very fragile. These crises have been reflected in economic relations. The purpose of this study, post-cold war relations between Turkey and Israel is to put forward the event study methodology in the analysis of political economy framework.
