Screening of resistant bean genotypes against cold stress

Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted for the areas with cold temperature problems and for the purpose of determining cold temperature tolerant bean genotypes. in this experiment using 97 bean genotype established in controlled climate room. The parameters analyzed in control and stress plants; 0-5 scale evaluation, plant size, number of leaves, stem diameter, green component fresh weight, green component dry weight, leaf stoma permeability, membrane damage in leaf cells, leaf water potential, leaf osmotic potential, leaf area index, leaf proportional water content . 97 bean grown genotypes under low temperature stress, above mentioned parameters, calculated changes according to controls plants and over these changes weighed rating method was applied. According to this weighing rating, bean genotypes were sorted from the most points to the least points. At the end of the study, the genotypes were classified into three groups tolerant, mild tolerant and susceptible. At the end of the experimen against to colt stress the most tolerant genotypes were BN-131, BN-138, BN-74, BN-14, BN-26, BN-10, BN-54, BN-70, Bn-75B, Bn-57.
