Abstract (EN)
Reinforced concrete (RC) is the most preferred structural element production type in Turkey. Technically successful manufacturing depends on favorable atmospheric conditions. For this reason, due to long and cold winter conditions in the regions where the terrestrial climate prevails, the RC manufacturing season is rather short. The short manufacturing season brings with it many problems for the industry and the social environment. The most important uncertainty of RC manufacturing in winter is whether the bond between concrete and steel, which is the main issue of RC, can be fully achieved. Considering the lack of knowledge in the literature on this subject, the bond behavior under the tensile effect of RC elements poured in cold was investigated experimentally within the scope of herein thesis. The study was carried out as the first step of the experimental investigation of the mechanical behavior of the cold cast RC structural elements planned to be carried out in the future. During the research process, the sample design, in which bond behavior was examined, was made and the experimental setup was verified by conducting pilot tests. In real winter conditions, samples that allow antifreeze additive and hot maintenance effects to be examined were produced and tested. In the displacement-controlled experiment, the bond behavior between the concrete and steel was examined by applying tensile force on the steel bar passing through the middle of the adherence sample. As the main result of the research; together with the prerequisite of production in the maintenance tent. specimens produced by cold cast concrete with antifreeze admixture and lack of hot maintenance and the specimens cast by normal concrete but with the application of the hot maintenance can provide very similar bond behaviour compared to that of the specimens cast in summer conditions.
