Use of tiles in official buildings in Söğüt

The influence of the history to the people's lifestyles in daily life is very important. For knowing, for understanding people and for having a better future, it is necessary that the history knowledge should be thoroughly adapted for understanding the people's position in the history, the role of historical artifacts is very big. Each of them which is on historical document and these artifacts are repaired by some restoration work. ''The restoratıon is repair of monuments which were hosted for an important historical event that have an ancient, historical authentic and originality valve, in accordance with the original, made of essential material by benefiting from the original constructıon technique and originality, by protecting with as little intervention as possible'' (restoraturk, 2021, s. 78). It is used that the meaning of the word of ''to restorate' 'in the language of art as restorating the building or monument by not losing the historical and unique identity. According to this, it is a work of action for the monuments which have lost their original status first of all, with static problems or architecturally damaged, same of decoratıon items, especially by building for the same using purpose by gaining original qualities hence, it is not the purpose of the restoration that giving a new feature to the structure or monument ıt gives more serıous loses to the historical artifacts than could be imagined that is not to apply the protection procedures required or to apply a wrong application to the cultural assets that have survived to the present day. It is pretty easy that giving the other effective examples which cause some corruptions and destructions in cultural assets. The scientific works to protect cultural assets concentrated starting from the 1950 s. increasing number laboratories and workshops in almost every country have been running their work with an increasing activity and by strengthening their connections. It is a pity that the historical monuments which from centuries ago to the present are faced the danger of extinction, and are not been properly protected. It is caused to disappear of historical monuments slowly because of the functioning of civilization and consequently the spread of cities and indifference of individuals or related institutions. Another important point is that not doing restoration work in keeping with the original historical monument. ''Therefore, people's life style and their beliefs can be determined on the work of the historical monuments'' (Demiryürek, 2015, s. 99). With this work, the structures that are commodities to our history in Söğüt were studied. How were they built in their time? How is their situation today? With considering similar data's, analysis studies were completed. In the first part of the work it was informed that the purpose and subject of the study. In the second part it was informed separately about the location of Söğüt on the map, where its name comes from, provincial foundation perıod, foundatıon of the ottoman state, it's history etc. in the second section it was talked about the monuments of the period that were built in Söğüt in short. In the third part of the study, among official and individual structures only the ones have tile decoratıons were handled and examined in detail, analyzed of structures and locations, examined texture material, decoration details. As a result of these investigations, the destruction of historical artifacts was analyzed.
