Abstract (EN)
Turkey has %72 of the boron reserves in the world. In terms of this situation our country has the advamteges of development the boron technologies. In recent years, metal borates are very important input lots of process beacuse of their many advantages of many features. Sol-gel process has attracted much attention for the advantages such as obtaining excellent purity. Metal borates of Ba, Li, Sr which are synthesized with this process, are using many fields from medicine to electronics that makes it possible to obtain nonlinear optical materials. In this thesis study, non linear optical material SrBxOy, investigated by using Mineral and Pechini sol-gel process. As a result of the structural characterization single-phase Sr-B-O; SrB6O10 chemical compound by Mineral sol-gel process, SrB4O7 and SrB6O10 chemical compounds by Pechini sol-gel process have been produced. SrBxOy chemical compound which is single-phase and high efficiency couldn't synthesized by hydrothermal process. SrBxOy chemical compound which is intended to be used as a nonlinear optical material production is recommended by using Mineral sol-jel method due to its ease of application and sensivity of the environment of compounds and low cost advantages.
