The use of solfege teaching techniques in 9th grade musical hearing, reading and writing classes in band schools

This research aims to maintain Musical Hearing Reading and Writing education in Band Schools Command more effectively, and in order fort he graduate students to apply their educations in their proffessional life in an effective way.After the literature survay, the resarch was interpreted trough the findings of interview held with the Musical Hearing Reading and Writing intructures in Bilkent University stage Arts Faculty Music Department, Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Gazi University Music Education department and Band Schools Command, and experimental study with 50 9th grade students studing in Band Schools Command.İn the result of the research, when Musical Hearing Reading and Writing education in evaluated, it has been concluded that Musical Hearing Reading and Writing education is insufficient and that the applied methods do not supply with target behaviours, and some suggestions have been put forward related to gained results.Key Words: Musical Education, Musical Reading, Band School Command.
