Özet (EN)

This study is aimed to diagnose chest diseases with using respiratory sounds and to create an objective and quantitative tool which can help doctor to make a diagnosis. Due to each doctor has different knowledge and experience, there is a trouble about the diagnosis of respiratory system diseases. The main purpose of the developed system is to help the doctor to decide in various difficult diagnostic situations. At the same time, the system are planned to be used as an educational tool for students in medical school to learn respiratory diseases. The system has a visual user interface to enter the information for the patients. Symptoms and signs are evaluated together with the existing complaints, and diseases that the patient may have are reflected on the screen. There are many studies on respiratory system diseases in the literature. The studies may not help doctor due to comparisons are made as "patient-not patient". In the following, points that distinguished this study from the others are stated; •Use of respiratory data from 6 different respiratory groups •Using Empirical Mode Decomposition to determine the features of respiratory sounds. •Evaluation of classification successes by using different feature extraction and classification methods •To constitute of a decision-making mechanism that will help the doctor with the visual interface •To input data into the system such as patient's personal information, illness experiences, disease status of family members •To constitute list of possible diseases
