According to the context of intangible cultural heritageannotated bibliography of sky beliefs

ABSTRACT The sky which is an important source for Turkish culture, appears in many fields from literature to historical documents. This situation is noticed by the researches and many studies were carried out on it at different times. When we look at the overall lien of sky studies, we find different elements. Beliefs about natural events, cosmology, stories of the formation of celestial bodies, rain prayers, local calendar, folk meteorology, mythical beliefs, religious approaches, supernatural and metaphysical beings, animals, the sanctity of the sky, celestial perspective of mythology, form the main line of such studies. In Turkish Folk Literature, the works that we can collect under the title of sky beliefs are sometimes processed independently and sometimes as a separate part of certain studies in different periods. When we follow these studies, we see that its content follows a chronological extension starting from the mythological period and the belief in "Gök Tanrı". Therefore, it is important to examine the beliefs about celestial bodies in terms of determining a historical reality. Capturing cultural coding of the sky will be instrumental in opening the door to much wider resources behind it. Our work covers works that we can mostly incorporate into the field of Turkish Folk Literature together with interdisciplinary studies on celestial beliefs in Turkish culture. Being able to look at the sky through the window of public beliefs can be evaluated in terms of collectively revealing the passwords for the sky in the public opinion. The studies carried out with this awareness were collected and classified with an annotated bibliography experiment. With the inferences made from the studies obtained, it was deemed appropriate to consider the concept of sky as "Intangible Cultural Heritage".
