Abstract (EN)

The Quran is a book revealed by God Almighty to His Prophet as a guide to humanity. Therefore, the Quran generally addresses humanity in its content and warns about various matters such as destruction, punishment, and guidance. Despite all this, it granted time to those who acted immorally, and when they persisted in their injustice, it punished them with various punishments. These punishments sometimes occurred through natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, storms, and even riots. After discussing the technical information about the thesis in the introduction, the first section provides information on the definition of scientific interpretation, its advocates, and its critics. Information is provided about the recent scientific interpretations and their commentators, which we will examine in our thesis. The final section examines the perspectives on the destruction of nations in recent scientific interpretations and examines God's intervention in natural disasters. The approach of scientific exegesis to the verses related to the natural events that will occur on the day of judgement is discussed and the relationship between determinism and sunnatullah is examined.
