It is aimed to emphasize the change in the identity of the woman in Turkish society structure by examining the woman characters in the recent Turkish series.The changes seen in the woman identity in the recent year were examined by using the method of Lajos Egri and woman and man characters were examined as three dimensionalLike in all societies, gender and sex discrimination are very important subjects. Even though, gender and sex come from birth, social gender is shaped according to the society lived. Development level of the societies change the extent of the discrimination between gender and sex. Our country, enter into a fast industrialization process since 1980?s and it leads to some changes in the social order. In this process, woman started to have a place in society, enter into business life and wanted changes in her identity together with the modern society.Since it is used for the first time, television becomes the most effective and common among mass medium tools. Using visuality together with auditorily, affected this. For adopting the desired changes in the society, television series were used the most and through phenotypes, woman models were created. These woman models, were designed as not to disturb the patriarchal structure of the society and provide to change the woman in the desired way.In this thesis ?Aşk-ı Memnu? (Forbidden Love) and ?Kadın İsterse? (If Woman Wants) series were taken as examples. Woman and man characters were examined in these series. It is aimed to form a profile which is appropriate to the man dominant society structure which is a result of patriarchy. To be able to have a strong man, it is not enough to be female or a good mother-devoted wife only, a woman model who is a synthesis of these two concepts is needed. In these hypothesis, to be able to have a strong man, it is explained that a person should both educated and presantable as female and a devoted wife-good mother.Key words: Gender, Womens changing, Turkish TV serials.
