Özet (EN)

Rolling is the shaping or dimensioning of the workpiece between the rollers rotating opposite each other around their axes. Rolling is one of the methods of forming mass plastic and most of the steel production in the world is carried out by rolling. During the rolling process, many parameters affect the process and end-product quality. To test these parameters, making prototype manufacturing requires very serious investments. Therefore, the parameter results must be previewed before the production exceeds the cost. In this thesis study, some parameters affecting rolling were modeled and analyzed using finite element method and the aim was to find optimum parameters. These parameters are material types of a workpiece, friction coefficient, and roller diameter. Considering each case, a total of ninety finite element model was established and analyzed. Three different material types, ten different friction coefficients for each model and three different roller diameters were investigated and how these parameters affect the rolling process.
