The effect on academic success by concept crossword activity in social studies 6th graders "Our Country's Resources" unit

In the real test model, pretest-posttest control design which was performed in this research,academic success was examined by concept crossword activity in social studies in primary education 6th graders " Our Countries Resources" unit by concept crossword. The research was carried out in İzmir Kemalpaşa 80. Sütçüler Secondary School in 2013-2014 spring term. The study was practiced with an experiment and a control group which composed 42 6th graders students. The study lasted 22 course hours. While the subject was discussed in the experiment group the lesson was based on concept crosssword activity. In the control group the lesson was taught by the current curriculum.Academic Success was practiced by the researcher pretest before the lesson to the experiment group and control group and after the lesson posttest .T-Test was practiced with The data which were acquired. According to research findings between academic success points and after the experiment and control groups practice there is no difference. It can be concluded that both of the groups academic success points showed increase. Keywords: Concept, concept crossword, concept analysis
