Survey design was used in the quantitative part of the study; case study was used in the qualitative part. Open-ended questionnaire form was used to collect administrators' views on subject-based classroom application and open-ended items were used to get students' and teachers' views in the qualitative part of the study. In the quantitative part of the study, a three-point likert type scale was used so as to determine the views of teachers and students on subject-based classroom system. Content analysis was employed in the analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data were analysed using SPSS statistics package program. As the data obtained in the study suggest, most of the teachers regard subject-based classroom application quite necessary. Most of the participating teachers, administrators and students think that subject-based classroom system has many positive sides and few negative sides. The positive sides stressed mainly by the participators are a well-equipped, motivating setting for students and facilitator of teaching process for teachers. As for the negative sides, the congestion during the break times and lack of personal cupboards for students are two main factors. Finally, subject-based classroom system has a lot of positive contributions and it should be implemented nationwide after its problems are solved.
