Analysis of graduate thesis studies on drama method in social studies education

Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to examine master and doctoral dissertations in terms of various criterions about the effectiveness of using drama method in social studies instruction in Turkey period from 2000 to 2017. The population of the study consists of master's and doctoral theses, which are the subject of drama method in social studies teaching at the National Thesis Center of Higher Education Institution between 2000-2017. The sample of the study consists of 18 master and doctorate theses, which are open to access in the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Council. The theses were examined by document analysis method. Educational research assessment criteria form was used as data collection tool. In this study, the appropriateness of the theses in terms of thesis writing phases were examined in this study.Social studies courses in Turkey between the years 2000-2017 with the evaluation of graduate thesis on the effectiveness of the use of teaching methods in the drama was reached the following conclusions: The ability of the theses to have a sufficient level of adequacy on the title of the research, the partial dimension of the summary dimension, the sufficient level of the problem sentence, the sufficient level of the sub-problems, the sufficient size of the importance dimension, the sufficient size of the supposition dimension, the sufficient size of the limitations dimension, Inadequate level of the dimension of the experimental design method, insufficient level of interview size, insufficient level of qualitative method dimension, insufficient level of universe-sample size, a sufficient level of dimension of data collection tools, insufficient level of survey size the size of the test is partially sufficient, the scale of validity of the scale is partially sufficient, the reliability dimension of the scale is insufficient, the linguistic dimension is partially sufficient, and the results, discussions and recommendations were partially sufficient.
