Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of teachers and secondary school students about educational games in social studies teaching. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with teachers and students. In this study, qualitative approach was used. The interview technique, one of the qualitative approaches, was preferred in this study. Interview form prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool was used and in the analysis of the data, content analysis and descriptive analysis were used. The study was carried out with the teachers and students in the districts of Trabzon in the second term of the 2020/2021 academic year, by obtaining the necessary legal permission from the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education. Interviews were conducted with 26 teachers and 52 students. As a result of the research, the opinions of teachers and students are generally that using educational games in lessons is beneficial. Depending on the nature of the subject, educational games can be used in lessons. In-service training on digital educational games can be given for teachers.
