Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; Social Studies teachers' perceptions about Turkey related to Global Connections Learning Area is to expose. Qualitative research patterns were utilized in the study. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used in the research. A descriptive analysis approach has been adopted in the analysis of the data. This study was prepared as a result of interviewing 29 social studies teac-hers working in Ankara, Keçiören, Pursaklar and Çankaya districts in the spring semes-ter of 2017-2018 academic year. Eleven of the participating teachers and 18 of the female teachers were male teachers. According to the findings of the research; teachers in Turkey and in the world's political, social, exposed as they are sensitive to economic events. Teacher of assessing events that affect the world they care in line with Turkey was determined to effect. Teachers positively evaluated the activities of Turkey's coo-peration in the international arena, but was revealed that they do not have enough in-formation about the activities of the charitable organizations in Turkey. Teachers' per-ceptions of Turkey's tourism potential has also been found to be positive. Participants are aware of Turkey's special position and they positively evaluated While Turkey is seen as the Middle Eastern countries in a globalized world and this situation is percei-ved negatively exposed. Turkey's imports exporting countries in assessing the impact of past history have been identified positively evaluated. It has been revealed that the ra-tes of teachers' experience abroad are very low. While the teachers consider that they perceive national citizens positively; they did not develop a positive perception of glo-bal citizenship. The perception that global contacts need to allocate more space in the social studies curriculum to the learning field has been raised. Cultural diversity in Tur-key was revealed that the teachers perception of what they see as wealth.
