Determination of pedagogical literacy levels of social studies teachers

With this study, it was aimed to determine the pedagogical literacy levels of Social Studies teachers. In the study, the pedagogical literacy of Social Studies teachers was evaluated in terms of gender, working year and the location of the school where they worked, and it was examined whether there were significant differences. In this research, which is a quantitative study, descriptive design was used. The universe of the study consists of Social Studies teachers working in various provinces of Turkey in the 2021-2022 Academic Year. In the study, the opinions of 257 teachers were consulted. In this study, which aims to determine the pedagogical literacy of Social Studies teachers, the "Pedagogical Literacy Scale" was used. Descriptive statistical calculations, t-test and one-way analysis of variance of the obtained data were performed. After the evaluations, it was determined that the pedagogical literacy levels of Social Studies teachers differed according to the variables of gender and working year, but did not show a significant difference according to the settlement variable of the school where they worked.
