Examination of social studies teachers' opinions about the Syrian students

Syrian children's lives and have to adapt to life in Turkey, including where they live, which is trying to provide. In providing this, the greatest task falls on our teachers who train asylum seekers. Asylum-seeking children who obtained the identity documents of the Republic of Turkey, as registered with the e-school system, it is able to continue their education in state schools. However, in this process, adaptation problem, language problem, psychosocial problems, behavior problems etc. many problems arise. Syrian refugees who took refuge in Turkey to leave the country must result in a scattered in different cities of Turkey are prepared for them outside the camp. Antalya is one of the cities preferred by the Syrians. In this study, Social Studies Teachers who were working in the central districts of Antalya (Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa) and Syrian students were interviewed. This research was formed in the qualitative research method. For this purpose, 20 Social Studies teachers working in central districts of Antalya were interviewed. In the study, semi-structured interview form which is one of the qualitative research techniques has been used and the data has been analyzed with content analysis technique.
