Citizenship attitudes of social studies teacher and class teacher candidates

The aim of this study is to identify the attitudes and attitudes of prospective social studies education and classroom education teacher candidates to their attitudes towards concepts and issues related to citizenship, such as good citizens, state responsibilities and women's political and social rights, and their desire to participate in the electoral, political and civic participation dimensions.To this end, a total of 170 students are studying at a state university located in the province of Istanbul, consisting of social studies education and class education teacher candidates. 76 of the working group (44,7%) are social education teachers, and 94 (55,3%) are teachers of day education. Data collection tool adapted by Mısırlı-Özsoy (2010), developed by the International Association for the Evaluation of Education, was used as the data collection tool.
